Steed Davidson & Applied Biblical Studies
Pilgrim was delighted to host the Executive Director of the Society of Biblical Literature, Professor Steed V Davidson at the Centre for Theology & Ministry Monday, 24 March. Prof Davidson spoke on the theme “Biblical Studies and the Twilight of the Humanities”, drawing insight from the experiences of educational providers in religion and theology in the United States. Prof Davidson encouraged those present to draw into the trans-disciplinary nature of biblical studies and encouraged biblical scholars to apply their skills and knowledge in conversation with technology, public engagement, and relevant teaching to address the needs of the community.
