International Women’s Day Recap

Synod staff and other guests gathered at the Centre for Theology and Ministry on the 6th of March for a special event to mark International Women’s Day.

The keynote speaker was Uniting Vic.Tas CEO Bronwyn Pike, while guest speaker was Associate General Secretary Rev Sharon Hollis, who is also a Global Ambassador for Thursdays in Black, an ecumenical campaign that encourages people to speak out against all forms of gender-based violence.

MC for the event was Rev Associate Professor Robyn Whitaker, while General Secretary Rev Dr Mark Lawrence offered words of support on behalf of the Synod.
