Spiritual Care – Keeping current

Keeping current is vital for practitioners and for our lecturers at Pilgrim. In the lead up to teaching Spiritual Care: Independent Practitioner, Rev. Lauren Mosso is attending a conference with a keynote by eminent Practical Theologian Professor John Swinton. She writes:
I’m looking forward to meeting colleagues in chaplaincy and spiritual care in Bendigo for the Spiritual Care Australia conference (see Conference 2025). Swinton, who is well known in practical theology circles, will offer keynote lectures on spirituality and mental health and practitioners from various contexts will offer evidence-based workshops.
As Chaplaincy Coordinator and Centre Director of Uniting CPE, Lauren understands the professional development needs of Spiritual Care practitioners. She’s applied this knowledge and experience to develop our new Graduate Certificate in Spirituality:
Chaplains and Spiritual Carers have been looking for a practical course that meets accreditation needs while being inclusive of the many spiritualities held by professionals in this field. Pilgrim’s Graduate Certificate in Spirituality aims to fill this gap and open the door to further study.
