Greg Carey: Death and Beyond

How do we preach and talk about the end? How does our understanding of the end shape our view of the present? Through careful exploration of the Bible’s multiple eschatological traditions and metaphors, Greg Carey explores the ways the Christian tradition speaks about human history and hope.

Professor Greg Carey is Professor of New Testament at Lancaster Seminary, Pennsylvania, where he teaches New Testament and contextual biblical studies. He is author of ten books including his most recent one, Death, the End of History, and Beyond: Eschatology in the Bible.

Greg is a lay preacher in the United Church of Christ and regularly writes for popular audiences on the intersection of biblical studies and contemporary Christianity and politics. He has appeared on the BBC, PBS, Huffington Post, Christian Century and other media outlets.
