Pilgrim Theological College is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Kerrie Handasyde to the position of Coordinator of Studies: History of Christian Practice and Belief.  Kerrie is an experienced teacher who is already accredited as a Senior Lecturer within the University of Divinity. She is known to many at Pilgrim through her work with the Australian Collaborators in Feminist Theologies and in coordinating Academic Skills.

Kerrie’s research excellence in history was clear to the search committee. Her book God in the Landscape explores the history of Protestant Dissent in Australia, including aspects of the Uniting Church’s heritage. She is currently researching conversion narratives in Pacific mission and co-editing two volumes due for publication early next year: Seeing Christ in Australia Since 1850 (Palgrave-Macmillan, co-edited with Sean Winter) and Companion to Feminist Theologies (SCM Press, co-edited with Stephen Burns and Katharine Massam).  Kerrie will take up this faculty role in January 2024.
